The hardnecks tend to be harvested from mid-July to the end of July. These are our biggest bulbs. You will not likely find these in stores. They have fewer cloves per bulb (4-6 for Porcelain) and (8-12 for Chesnok Red) but tend to have larger cloves. Hardnecks can range from large 2'' bulbs all the way to extra large 3'' bulbs. Hardnecks last around 6 months after harvest.
Softnecks are the first harvested garlic we grow being harvested in mid-July. Our softneck garlic is more natural, nutrient dense and flavorful than what you would find in your local grocery store. These bulbs size between 1.5'' and 2'' with many uniformly sized cloves per bulb (10-16). Softnecks can last from 6-12 months after harvest if they are kept in the correct conditions.
